Crowbourne Alpaca Treks

 Terms & Conditions

 

Please read our Terms & Conditions for Alpaca Walking. Customers will be asked to sign a waiver before the walk to say that they have read and understood these terms and conditions.

 

  1. All treks are  supervised by a suitably trained and experienced employee,    customers are not permitted to take the animals unaccompanied or leave the group with the animal.

  2. Treks include a safety briefing at the start, anyone not adhering to the information provided in this briefing will be asked to leave the walk without compensation.

  3. There will be a maximum of 6 alpacas per walk. Please remember that you may be sharing your walk with other people. Private walks can be arranged at additional cost.

  4. Alpacas are social animals and walk in pairs so all bookings must include 2 alpacas and suitable aged walkers. If this is not possible please contact us to see if we can pair you up with someone else.

  5. Maximum number of 1 additional person can accompany each alpaca trekker.

  6. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

(aged 18 years +).

  1. Children under the age of 16 must must be accompanied a responsible adult over the age of 18. Children under the age of 8 may accompany the walk under the supervision of a responsible adult but are unable to lead the alpacas.

  2. Hand washing facilities are provided. Those who accompany children have responsibility to ensure that adequate hand washing takes place.

  3. Customers must dress appropriately. Please wear closed toe sturdy shoes. Sandals are not suitable and we will not walk with anyone not wearing appropriate footwear. Loose fitting clothing that may flap is also unsuitable. We still walk in rain so please bring waterproofs if necessary.

  4. Cancellations made more than 1 week before the start will be invited to reschedule a maximum of 1 time per booking. For Cancellations under 1 week we will try to resell the walk but if places cannot be filled they cannot be rescheduled and will not be subject to refund. Cancellations must take place in writing to info@crowbournealpacas.com

  5. Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 3 months of the purchase date.

  6. The walks take place on a farm and there will be mud. Please bear this in mind as shoes can get dirty and we will not be held responsible for this or compensating for damages to clothing.

  7. We do not recommend alpaca trekking for pregnant women due to the rough terrain and the risk of getting kicked. If you are pregnant and wish to walk you will be required to sign a disclaimer.

  8. Walks are weather dependant and if the weather is unsuitable for walking we will cancel the walk and offer an alternative date suitable to you. We cannot give refunds for circumstances out of our control.

  9. We will request an email address mobile phone number from you on booking and will leave messages on both of these if there is a cancellation due to weather or other circumstances, please check as we will not be held responsible for missed messages on your part.

  10. A risk assessment has been undertaken for each trekking route and is available upon request.

  11. We try to stick as close to our time as possible but Alpacas walk at their own pace. If you are time restricted and need to leave at a certain time please let us know at the start of the walk.

  12. Group bookings are possible with a maximum group size of 18 people. This is based on sharing the walking. Please contact us for more information.

  13. During the walk we take photos that will be published to our social media profiles and website, please let us know if you do not want your photo taken.
